3-39 Peşi sıra o, Mihrapta[1] ayakta namaz kılıyorken melekler ona nida etti: ‘muhakkak ki Allâh seni Yahya ile müjdeliyor, Allâh’tan bir kelimeyi doğrulayan, bir seyyid,[2] bir hasuur[3] ve salihlerden bir nebi olmak üzere.’

3-39 Then, the angles called him as he stood praying in the Mihrab:[1] Verily, Allah is giving you glad tidings of Yahya as a verifier a word from Allah, and a master, and a Hasoor and a prophet from the righteous.

3-40 Dedi ki: Rabbim, benim için bir oğul nerden oluyor? Halbuki kesinlikle bana yaşlılık erişmiş, karım ise bir kısırdır. Dedi ki: işte böyle, Allâh ne diliyorsa yapıyor!
3-40 He Said: My Sustainer, from where is being a boy for me, when the elder has already reached me and my woman is a sterile. He said: such that, Allah is doing what is He willing!
